Best IPTV France 2026: Top 3 for French Channels
Best IPTV France 2026: Ligue 1+, Canal+ and Arcom changes explained, plus KenoaTV, QueenIPTV and Smartiflix compared in euros.
If you are looking for the best IPTV France service in 2026, the first thing to know is that French football TV has been rebuilt this season: every Ligue 1 match now sits on one platform, every Champions League match on another, and the bill for watching it legally has gone up. This guide is for French-speaking households, expats and visitors in France: we explain the 2026–27 TV rights map, compare three IPTV services on price in euros, French channels, trials and refunds, and set out what French law now says about unlicensed IPTV.
Quick answer: For French-speaking households and expats who want French channels next to US, Canadian and international TV, KenoaTV is our pick, with plans from $13.99 (about €12.38) for one month to $169.99 for 24 months and a 36-hour free trial you can extend twice. QueenIPTV is the alternative for people who prefer paying in pounds, and Smartiflix has the lowest 12-month price of the three ($69). None of them holds Ligue 1+ or Canal+ rights, so read the legal section before you buy.
Editorial disclosure
KenoaTV publishes this article and sells IPTV subscriptions, so we have a commercial interest in the ranking. KenoaTV is listed first because this is our own site. We checked every price, trial and refund term below on each provider's official website on 2 October 2026. Euro amounts are our conversions at the European Central Bank reference rate of 1 October 2026 (€1 = $1.1298 = £0.85373); your bank's rate and card fees will differ. Channel and VOD counts are the providers' own claims.

French football TV in 2026–27: what changed
Most people who search for an IPTV France subscription are really asking one question: how do I watch my football without paying for three platforms? This season the answer changed again.
All Ligue 1 matches are now on Ligue 1+
The LFP's own channel, Ligue 1+, took back the ninth match of each round from beIN Sports in August 2026, so all nine Ligue 1 matches per round are now on one platform, along with the Saturday multiplex, Ligue 3 and the Trophée des Champions. According to Ariase (11 June 2026), the new price with a 12-month commitment is €19.99 per month with two screens at once, up from €14.99 in 2025–26. Pass Ligue 1 subscribers who joined before 30 November 2025 keep a loyalty rate of €16.99 per month for one year. Over 12 months, a new subscriber pays €239.88 for the league alone.
The Champions League is all on Canal+
Canal+ holds 100% of the Champions League in France for 2026–27, plus the Europa League and Conference League, and has extended its European rights to 2030–31 (Ariase). Matches are spread across Canal+, Canal+ Foot, Canal+ Sport, Canal+ Sport 360 and the Canal+ Live channels, so a PSG, Lille or Lens match is not always on the main channel.
beIN Sports keeps Ligue 2, the Bundesliga and the NBA
beIN Sports no longer shows Ligue 1 but keeps Ligue 2, the Bundesliga, the NBA and the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. 1abonnement.fr (updated 4 September 2026) lists it from €14.99 per month without commitment on the main French boxes (Freebox, Livebox, SFR, Bbox). Canal+ sport packs that include beIN start at around €29.99 per month for 12 months with commitment.
What free TV already covers
France's free digital terrestrial TV (TNT) channels, such as TF1, France 2, France 3, M6 and Arte, are free to watch live and on replay through their own apps, and aggregators such as Molotov group TNT channels live and on replay in one interface. myCANAL carries Canal+'s own cinema and sport bouquets. France also scrapped its TV licence fee in 2022. If your household mostly watches TNT channels, you may not need a paid IPTV subscription at all.
What is IPTV? (Qu'est-ce qu'un abonnement IPTV ?)
IPTV (internet protocol television) delivers live TV channels and on-demand films and series over your internet connection instead of an aerial, satellite dish or cable. Every French operator box TV (Freebox, Livebox, SFR Box, Bbox) already uses IPTV to send its own channels, so the technology itself is ordinary and legal.
When people in France talk about an "abonnement IPTV", they usually mean something different: a third-party subscription that gives you login details (a "code IPTV" in Xtream Codes format, or an M3U link) to use in a player app such as IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, IPTV Pro or GSE Smart IPTV on a smart TV, Android TV box, Fire TV Stick, phone or PC. The quality of the service depends on the provider's servers, the app and your connection.
French IPTV terms you will see when comparing offers
French comparison sites and sellers use the same vocabulary. Here is what it means:
| French term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Abonnement IPTV France | An IPTV subscription sold for French viewers |
| Meilleur abonnement IPTV / meilleur IPTV | "Best IPTV subscription", the headline of most French listicles |
| Fournisseur IPTV | IPTV provider |
| Code IPTV | Xtream Codes login (server URL, username, password) |
| Chaînes TV / chaînes en direct | TV channels / live channels |
| Films et séries / catalogue VOD | The on-demand library |
| Heures de pointe | Peak hours, when buffering is most likely |
| Stabilité des serveurs | Server stability during those peak hours |
| Rapport qualité prix | Value for money |
| IPTV pas cher / abonnement IPTV pas cher | "Cheap IPTV", usually a warning sign |
| Test IPTV | A free trial before paying |
How we chose the best IPTV services for France
We compared each service on criteria that matter to French viewers:
- French channel coverage: whether the provider lists a France group, and whether it also covers Belgium, Canada (for Québec channels) and the other countries French households watch.
- Price and value for money: total cost over 1, 12 and 24 months in euros, including the fact that none of them bills in euros.
- Free trial length: enough time to test during peak hours, ideally a full match evening.
- Refund terms: written rules, not promises.
- Device support: smart TV, Android TV, Fire TV, iPhone, PC and MAG boxes.
- Transparency: whether prices, refund rules and company information are published before you pay.
We did not run speed or uptime tests for this article, so we do not publish star ratings or buffering scores.
1. KenoaTV: best IPTV service for France overall
KenoaTV lists 206 France channels, 46 Belgium channels and 1,541 Canada channels on its channel page, next to 7,280 USA channels, 1,365 UK channels, 915 Arab, 365 Africa, 277 Germany, 191 Italy, 177 Spain and 148 Portugal channels. That spread is why we rank it first for France: many French-speaking homes want more than French TV, whether that is Québec channels, North African channels or English-language sport.
KenoaTV pricing (one connection, checked 2 October 2026)
| Plan | Price | Per month | Approx. in euros |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $13.99 | $13.99 | €12.38 |
| 3 months | $34.99 | $11.66 | €30.97 |
| 6 months | $59.99 | $10.00 | €53.10 |
| 12 months | $99.99 | $8.33 | €88.50 |
| 24 months | $169.99 | $7.08 | €150.46 |
Every plan is billed once for its full duration; there is no automatic monthly debit. Plans with two to five simultaneous connections cost more. The pricing page shows USD as the reference price, and the final quote in another currency is calculated at checkout.
Key features
- 25,000+ channels across 58 country and regional groups (KenoaTV's own claim)
- 36-hour free trial with no card required, extendable twice for about 4.5 days in total
- 1 to 5 simultaneous connections
- Works with common player apps on smart TV, Android TV, Fire TV, iOS and PC; see the installation guides
- Written refund policy: up to 50% of the initial payment, only if at least 7 days remain on the plan, and not for plans of $5 or less
Best for
French-speaking households and expats who want French TV plus North American, Belgian, African or Arabic channels in one subscription, and who want a long trial before paying.
Things to consider
- Prices are in US dollars, so your bank may add a foreign-transaction fee.
- KenoaTV does not hold Ligue 1+, Canal+ or beIN rights. Do not buy any IPTV subscription expecting licensed French pay-TV.
- The 50% refund cap is lower than a full money-back guarantee.
2. QueenIPTV: best for paying in pounds
QueenIPTV runs the same catalogue platform as KenoaTV, with the same 206 France channels and 25,000+ channel claim, but bills in pounds and lists 1,765 UK channels. That makes it the better fit for British expats in France who want BBC and ITV channels alongside French TV.
QueenIPTV pricing (one connection, checked 2 October 2026)
| Plan | Price | Per month | Approx. in euros |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | £11.99 | £11.99 | €14.04 |
| 3 months | £24.99 | £8.33 | €29.27 |
| 6 months | £34.99 | £5.83 | €40.98 |
| 12 months | £49.99 | £4.17 | €58.55 |
| 24 months | £79.99 | £3.33 | €93.69 |
Key features
- 36-hour free trial, extendable twice, no card required
- Same written refund policy as KenoaTV (up to 50%, at least 7 days remaining)
- Pound pricing that is cheaper than KenoaTV from three months up
- Setup guides for the main devices
Best for
UK expats living in France, and anyone who wants the lowest long-term price among the services that list French channels by name.
Things to consider
- Billing in pounds means a currency conversion for euro cards.
- The UK focus means support pages and guides are written for UK viewers.
3. Smartiflix: lowest 12-month price
Smartiflix publishes prices on smartiflix.org: $14 for one month, $36 for three months, $47 for six months and $69 for 12 months. It claims 61,000+ live channels and 180,000+ films and series in 4K, but it does not publish a country-by-country channel list, so you cannot check French coverage before the trial.
Key features
- $69 for 12 months (about €61.07), the lowest annual price of the three
- 24-hour trial
- Multi-device plans
Best for
Budget buyers who are happy to test French channels themselves during the trial.
Things to consider
- No France channel count to compare against.
- The trial is 24 hours, a third of what KenoaTV and QueenIPTV offer before extensions.
- We did not find a refund guarantee on the prices page; check the terms before paying.
Comparison: KenoaTV vs QueenIPTV vs Smartiflix

| Billing currency | USD | GBP | USD |
| 12 months (≈ €) | €88.50 | €58.55 | €61.07 |
| 24 months (≈ €) | €150.46 | €93.69 | Not offered |

| Belgium / Canada listed | 46 / 1,541 | Same catalogue | Not listed |

IPTV vs the legal French football bill
Here is what a football fan in France pays for 12 months of the licensed services, using the prices above:
| Service | What it covers | 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Ligue 1+ (new subscriber) | All Ligue 1 matches | €239.88 |
| beIN Sports (no commitment) | Ligue 2, Bundesliga, NBA | €179.88 |
| Canal+ with beIN pack (first year) | Champions League, Premier League, Top 14, beIN | about €359.88 |
That gap is why cheap IPTV sells so well in France. It is also why rights holders and the Arcom regulator are spending so much on blocking. The cheapest legal option for a Ligue 1 fan is still Ligue 1+ alone; the cheapest option for a Champions League fan is a Canal+ offer.
What other French IPTV sellers claim
French "meilleur abonnement IPTV" listicles rank services we have not ranked. Here is what some of them claim, fetched on 2 October 2026. These are their claims, not our findings, and we have not tested any of these services:
| Service | Claim | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Premier IPTV | 55,000+ live channels, 90,000+ films and series, 24-hour test, "all French channels" including Canal+, beIN and RMC Sport | Melty |
| Premier IPTV | 1,500+ French channels | Meilleure-Innovation |
| Youcan IPTV | 18,000+ live channels | Meilleure-Innovation |
| La France IPTV | 65,000 live channels, anti-freeze servers, plans of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months | Melty |
| Smarters IPTV France | 15,000 channels and 60,000 VOD titles | Melty |
| IPTV France Officiel | €29.99 for 6 months, €49.99 for 12 months, €69.99 for 24 months (each with bonus months), "refund within 30 days" | iptv-france-officiel.fr |
Taken together, these lists put typical prices at roughly €3 to €10 a month. Melty also says a premium provider should offer at least 15,000 channels and 60,000 VOD titles. We disagree with using counts as the test: a list that promises Canal+, beIN and RMC Sport for a few euros a month is the profile Arcom warns about, because those channels are not licensed to IPTV resellers. Ask instead which French channels are listed, whether the trial covers a Saturday evening, and what the refund terms say.
French, Canadian and European channels: what to check
Before you subscribe, open the provider's channel list and look for the groups you will actually watch:
- France: the main generalist and news channels you watch daily.
- Belgium and Switzerland: KenoaTV lists 46 Belgium channels and no separate Switzerland group.
- Canada: Québec viewers and French Canadians abroad should check the Canada group (1,541 listed on KenoaTV).
- Africa and Arab: important for many French households; KenoaTV lists 365 and 915.
- USA and UK: English-language sport and news.
Our Europe IPTV comparison covers the rest of the continent if you split your time between countries.
Buying guide: how to choose an IPTV subscription in France
- Start with the trial, not the 12-month plan. Test on a weekday evening and a Saturday night, which are the heures de pointe for French football.
- Check the channel list by country, not the headline "000 chaînes" number. A 60,000-channel claim says nothing about the French channels you want.
- Compare prices in euros and remember your card's foreign-transaction fee.
- Read the refund policy before paying. "Satisfait ou remboursé" banners mean little without written conditions.
- Avoid sellers who promise Canal+ and every French pay channel for €5 a month. That is the pattern Arcom's guidance describes for unlicensed offers.
- Pay with a method that gives you some protection. A card payment can be disputed; a gift card or crypto transfer usually cannot.
How to set up IPTV in France
- Start the free trial or buy a plan on the provider's website.
- Receive your login details by email: a server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes) or an M3U link.
- Install a player app: IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate on Android TV and Fire TV, a compatible app from the store on Samsung or LG smart TVs, or the provider's recommended app on iPhone. See KenoaTV's smart TV setup guide.
- Enter the login details and wait for channels and the EPG to load.
- Set the app's time zone to Paris (CET/CEST) so the TV guide matches.
- Test the channels you care about at peak hours before the trial ends.
How to reduce buffering on French broadband
Most streaming problems come from the home network, not the provider.
- Use fibre or a wired connection. Most French homes now have fibre; a Wi-Fi link to the TV is a common bottleneck. Plug in an Ethernet cable where you can.
- Plan for 25 to 50 Mbps for 4K and 10 to 15 Mbps for stable Full HD per stream. Full HD (1080p) is a sensible minimum for sport.
- Restart the box TV or stick before a big match.
- Switch to the HD version of a channel if the 4K feed stutters.
- Lower the buffer size in the player only if the provider recommends it.
- See KenoaTV's buffering fix guide for app-by-app settings.
Is IPTV legal in France?
IPTV as a technology is legal in France, and so are player apps such as IPTV Smarters Pro. What matters is whether the service has the rights to the channels it distributes. Watching French football or other pay-TV content through a service that has not licensed it is a breach of the rights holders' exclusive rights.
French enforcement has stepped up in 2026:
- Usage is still high. In a page published on 28 April 2026, Arcom said 11% of French internet users report using an illicit IPTV offer, two thirds of them for less than three years, even though more than 20,000 sites and domains have been blocked since 2022 (as reported by JeChange, 26 September 2026).
- Real-time blocking. Law no. 2026-725 of 3 August 2026, published in the Journal officiel on 4 August, reformed article L. 333-10 of the sports code and set up an automated real-time blocking system run by Arcom. Arcom's president has said France will be ready to generalise real-time blocking of pirate streams in January 2027 (Kohen Avocats).
- Champions League blocking. On 8 September 2026, Arcom had many sites and IP addresses blocked for showing the Champions League without authorisation (Kohen Avocats).
- Users have been fined. In March 2026, about twenty users of a pirate IPTV service, identified through their resellers' customer files, were fined €300 to €400 in Arras (Selectra, updated 1 October 2026; Haas Avocats adds that the fines came with a criminal record entry).
- Subscribers face fines too. Selectra notes that article 79-4 of the law of 30 September 1986 punishes acquiring or holding a device for fraudulently receiving programmes with a fine of up to €7,500. Unlicensed apps and boxes also carry a risk of malware and stolen card details.
- Sellers face far more. Unauthorised distribution can carry up to three years in prison and a €300,000 fine under the French intellectual property code, rising to seven years and €750,000 for organised groups.
KenoaTV's own position is that responsibility for content licensing sits with the provider. Our advice is simple: use IPTV for channels you can lawfully watch, keep your licensed subscriptions for rights-protected football, and read our article on licensed vs unverified IPTV.
Quel fournisseur IPTV choisir selon votre utilisation ?
(What is the best IPTV for France?)
For French channels alongside North American and international TV, KenoaTV is our pick, with 206 listed France channels and a 36-hour trial. QueenIPTV is better value if you can pay in pounds, and Smartiflix has the lowest 12-month price. Test any service during peak hours before you commit.
(What is the best IPTV subscription in France?)
The best subscription is the one that carries your channels without buffering on your own connection. Compare channel lists by country, price in euros, trial length and refund terms rather than headline channel counts.
(Is IPTV legal in France?)
The technology and player apps are legal. Watching channels through a service without the rights to them is not, and in March 2026 about twenty users in Arras were fined €300 to €400 each.
Quelle plateforme IPTV est légale en France? (Which IPTV platforms are legal in France?)
Operator boxes (Freebox, Livebox, SFR, Bbox), myCANAL, Ligue 1+, the beIN app, Molotov and the free channels' own apps are licensed. They are the legal way to watch French football.
(How much does an IPTV subscription cost?)
Among our three, 12 months costs about €58.55 (QueenIPTV), €61.07 (Smartiflix) or €88.50 (KenoaTV) at today's exchange rates. One month costs between about €12.38 and €14.04.
(What is the best IPTV app right now?)
IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate are the most widely used players on Android TV and Fire TV. GSE Smart IPTV is a common choice on iPhone and Apple TV. Use the app your provider's guide recommends.
(Which IPTV code is best value?)
A "code IPTV" is just your Xtream Codes login. The best value is the plan you have tested first: start with a free trial, then choose 12 or 24 months only once you are sure.
Quel fournisseur bloque l'IPTV? (Which internet providers block IPTV?)
Court orders and Arcom notifications apply to the main French operators, including Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues Telecom, which block the domains and services named in each order.
Existe-t-il des abonnements IPTV avec VPN intégré? (Are there IPTV subscriptions with a built-in VPN?)
Some sellers advertise one. A VPN can protect your privacy on public Wi-Fi, but it does not make an unlicensed service legal, and we do not recommend services that sell VPNs as a way to avoid blocking.
(Where can I find free IPTV channels in France?)
Free TNT channels are available legally through their own apps and the operator boxes. Free M3U playlists shared online are usually unlicensed and often stop working without warning.
Quels sont les meilleurs boîtiers IPTV? (What are the best IPTV boxes?)
A recent Android TV box, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K or a Samsung or LG smart TV handles IPTV well. MAG boxes are still used but need a provider that supports MAC activation.
Final verdict
For most French-speaking households and expats, KenoaTV is the best choice for IPTV France viewers in this comparison: it lists 206 France channels next to Belgian, Canadian, African and US groups, and its 36-hour trial (extendable twice) is long enough to test a full football evening. QueenIPTV is cheaper over 12 and 24 months if you can pay in pounds, and Smartiflix suits buyers who only care about the annual price. Whatever you choose, keep Ligue 1+ or Canal+ for licensed French football.
